Rasmussen: Newt Pulling Away Nationally
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Gingrich 35% Romney 28 Santorum 16 Paul 10 Well, that happened quite a bit quicker than I expected- Newt out 7 points on Mittens nationally. If you missed it, Gallup already had the Former House Speaker hypothetically in a statistical dead-heat with Obama, too... maybe he's 'electable' after all, eh. And another thing you hear from the other side is stuff about Newts considerable ego and megalomaniac, etc. Well, consider this: the ball is REALLY teed up for any whod like to be a conservative hero of all time think about it. The opportunity is right there,...

NBC/WSJ poll: Newt double-digits over Romney nationally
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Newt Gingrich has opened a major lead nationally over Mitt Romney, who is still stuck in roughly the same place he has been throughout the year, according to new NBC/WSJ poll numbers. At the same time, Gingrich has real red flags for a general election, the survey found. In the GOP matchups, Gingrich is at 40 percent to Romney's 23 percent. Everyone else is in single digits - Ron Paul gets 9 percent, Michele Bachmann 8 percent, Rick Perry 6 percent, Jon Huntsman 5 percent and Rick Santorum 3 percent.

Fox News Poll: Gingrich Leads in GOP Voter Preference
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Newt Gingrich is the clear front-runner for the 2012 Republican nomination -- and the biggest beneficiary of Herman Cains departure from the race. Mitt Romney, again, holds steady with about a quarter of GOP primary voters in his camp.A Fox News poll released Thursday shows Gingrich up 13 percentage points since mid-November. Cain suspended his campaign on December 3. In the latest snapshot of the race, Gingrich receives the backing of 36 percent of GOP primary voters. Thats up from 23 percent last month -- and is three times the 12 percent he had in late October. It also represents...

You don't think that could ever happen in America? Well, you might want to brush up on the Real ID Act because it is going to go into effect on May 11, 2011 unless something is done to stop it. What is the "Proper Size" of the US Federal Government?
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
John "Never-met-a-bank-that-should-not-be-made-smaller" Huntsman in last night's CNBC debate made a solid case for "properly sized banks." Perry strengthened John-the-Bank-Hunter's plan by saying: "If you are to big to fail, you are just to big." Both Presidential Candidates were borrowing heavily from the Former Head-of-the-Fed, High Poo Bah, Renowned Socialist, and Inventor of the Current Intellectual basis for Banks, and Governments Worldwide, the Ultimate Socialist Safety Net/ Hammock: TO BIG TO FAIL. Yes indeedy! If you stumble we will catch you! If you even "feel" you MIGHT stumble we will give you green pillows stuffed full of a never-ending supply of...

Is The United States of America a Failed Welfare State?
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The financial death spiral of the US Federal Government has been caused by financially irresponsible politicians during the last 80 years. Their lack of stewardship has resulted in them charging us with a National Debt of 14.8 TRILLION dollars, which must be paid back, plus interest, to those who we borrowed the money from. We have indeed allowed these same politicians to cruelly burden our own grandchild with this horrific National Debt. We have no one to blame but ourselves for electing them in the first place, and not impeaching them when they failed to spend our money within our...

Bringing A Flat Tax To The Table
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Tax Reform: His campaign flagging, GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry is about to unveil what he hopes will be a game-changer: a flat tax. Whether it works for him or not, we're glad to see this bold idea part of the mix. We like Herman Cain a lot. But his 9-9-9 tax plan, not so much. Perry, no doubt trying to recoup some of his lost support, will unveil a flat tax proposal on Tuesday as a counter-salvo to Cain's popular idea. Count us among the intrigued. Sure, as the cliche goes, the devil is in the details. We don't...

Breaking: Nevada IHOP shooter was Mexican national

Spokeswoman for Nevadas Joint Information Center, Lesley Henrie has just confirmed that Eduardo Sencion, 32, the man who on Tuesday, killed five people, including himself yesterday in a shooting spree at a Carson City IHOP is a Mexican national in the country on a valid passport. Sencion reportedly opened fire outside the restaurant, then walked inside and continued to shoot. Three of those killed were members of the Nevada National Guard, and there is a great deal of speculation on whether or not they were targeted because they were in their uniforms. There was also a 67-year-old woman killed in...

SEPT 6 , 5pm DEADLINE - Comment now on proposed National Patient ID Card
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The Obama Administration may soon require all citizens to have a federally-imposed national patient ID card. The deadline for your comments is Tuesday, September 6 - the day after Labor Day. This "machine-readable" patient ID card (and perhaps number) would allow implementation of the controversial national health data system -- the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) -- to which President Obama appropriated $23 billion in the "economic stimulus" bill. The NHIN is a "network of networks" made by connecting State health information exchanges with federal software. Comprehensive private medical and mental health data could be electronically linked on any and...

Indiana College Bans "Too Violent" National Anthem

First it banned the words, now the whole song. Tiny Goshen College in Indiana has banned the "The Star Spangled Banner: at all sporting events because the Mennonite school's president considers the National Anthem's words to be too violent. The 1,000-student school had already banned the words last year, but the band could still play the music for patriots in attendance. Now, the school has banned the song entirely, according to NBC Sports. The schools board of directors told college President Jim Brenneman to find an alternative to playing the National Anthem that fits with sports tradition, that honors country...

And then they take decisions, make policy and implement that policy to achieve those ends." He added, "That's why State is so nervous. They signed off on this. In a meeting." National Labor Relations Board Suedfor Documents Concerning Boeing Lawsuit
Posted by admin / Under National Renewable Energy Laboratory
It probably would not surprise you to learn that the Obama administration is apparently using the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) as a battering ram to aid powerful (and financially supportive) unions. The target is the Boeing Corporation. And Judicial Watch has launched a full investigation into the matter. On Monday, August 15, we filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the NLRB to obtain records concerning the agencys decision to file its lawsuit against Seattle-based Boeing for opening a $750 million non-union assembly plant in North Charleston, South Carolina to manufacture its Dreamliner plane

Riots cast shadow over plans for Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations

There may have been no rioting in the Highlands, but no one has been watching the arson and looting of Britains cities more closely than the Queen. With fewer than six months to her Diamond Jubilee, when celebrations are planned for the length and breadth of the kingdom, the disorder has alarmed aides planning the extravaganza. Central to their concern is not just the damage to the countrys image overseas, but also how quickly the feelgood factor engendered by Aprils Royal Wedding has been lost. From her summer home in Balmoral, the Queen has kept in touch with developments and...

The idea of such a bank has been around since the 1990s but has never gained significant attention until now. In March a bipartisan bill was introduced in the Senate that gained the support of the US Chamber of Commerce, Americas leading business lobby, and the AFL-CIO, the countrys largest labor federation two groups on opposite sides of most debates. The BUILD Act, proposed by Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., Kay Hutchinson, R-Texas, and Mark Warner, D-Va., would create a national infrastructure bank that would provide loans and loan guarantees to encourage private investment in upgrading Americas infrastructure. There are...
